Primeiro treino de guarda-vidas pela ILS no Equador

Primeiro curso de formação de guarda-vidas realizado pela ILS no Equador.

First ILS (International Life Saving Federation) sanctioned lifeguard training in Ecuador. Held in Manta, this training stands out because of the involvement of ILS and also the use of manikins for CPR training. In the past manikins were not available but thanks to Henry Wonsey we were able to use them for training and testing for the entire academy.

The academy began with 70 candidates and ended with the certification of 40 lifeguards and 4 lifeguard instructors. The CPR training stands out because there was an actual rescue during the CPR training and Manta lifeguards we able to put into use what they had just learned in the classroom.

Thank you to the City of Manta for their hospitality and special thanks to Paul Dunning and Long Beach – Manta Sister Cities (MSC) for their generous donations.

Sincerely, Rodney
